Offer Live Mealworms or other Bluebird Food
The feeder has entry holes on two ends that allow the bluebirds to feed inside. The entry holes prevent larger more aggressive birds, like starlings & jays, from feeding. Directions are included on how to use this feeder. Chickadees, nuthatches, and wrens will also feed here. The Hanging Bluebird Feeder can also be bottom mounted. Standard on our bluebird houses, the wooden guard provides protection from predators, such as squirrels, cats or starlings.

By doubling the depth of the entrance hole it makes it more difficult for predators to get to the eggs or for squirrels to enlarge the hole.

Adding a predator guard will restore an enlarged entrance hole.
